Application Process
The application process requires some parts, and other parts are optional. All of these are designed to help select and recruit the best applicants available.

The items on this page will help you know what to gather, what to submit, and what to expect at different steps of the process.
Required Components For Your Application

CLEAR, COLOR photo or scan of a Government issued Identification.

A CLEAR, COLOR photo or scan of a High School Diploma, or GED.

Transcripts may work, they will need to show that you graduated, and when.

A completed application for apprenticeship.​
These items will be required during the application process, failure to provide them will result in an incomplete application, and no further action will be taken by our committee

Application Ranking System
Per USDOL Standards our ranking system is based on an interview and a points system. All applicants are asked the same questions, and given the same opportunity for points.

After the Application
After submitting a complete application to our office,
-
You will be placed on a Pre-Apprentice hiring list at the Local 55 Union Hall.

You will be contacted by our office to schedule an interview, this may take some time, please be patient.
When your interview date is scheduled, please arrive early and be ready. Your interview should take around 15 minutes, and you will be granted the opportunity to ask any questions you may have for the committee.

After the Interview
After the interview your responses and points will be totaled, and you will be placed on a ranking list.
If accepted into our program you will be contacted with instructions as to when and where classes are scheduled for you.
If your ranking falls outside of the number of apprentices we are accepting that term, your points will carry forward. This placement is good for a two year period. Should you have updated documentation, or feel you would like to be re-interviewed, please reach out to us for more instructions.
